THE CHALLENGE

Paddington Pups’ owner wanted Cesar Millan, the famous international dog whisperer, to visit her doggy day care center during his upcoming Australian Live Tour. For two years, the owner had tried in vain to contact Cesar’s management. Due to unsuccessful attempts, the owner decided to approach Grand Brands in the hope that our skills, experience and contacts would yield greater success.

THE SOLUTION

Grand Brands developed an innovative and creative idea, combined with a media savvy pitch, to give Cesar a reason to visit Paddington Pups. The first stage involved the owner of Paddington pups becoming a brand ambassador for Cesar’s charity the Millan Foundation. Following this, a dog wash fundraising day was held whilst Cesar was in town.

THE OUTCOME

He came! He saw! He washed!

Cesar’s wonderful management team were very generous with his time, with Cesar spending an hour at Paddington Pups touring the facility, meeting the owner, and one very lucky pooch even got a bath! During the campaign, Grand Brands gained Paddington Pups significant media exposure with a total audience of more than 1.6 million people for print and 1.5 million people for social media. With 20 new clients already, just a week out from Cesar’s guest appearance, the flow on effect for Paddington pups has just begun. In the words of Paddington Pups owner Bree Robbins, the effect on her business has been “absolutely phenomenal!”

  • Well done Bree. Cesar is a hero to many people and I can appreciate just how significant this was for you personally, even without the PR exposure.
